There has been new game released. Grand theft auto 4. And yet, there hasn’t been any crack for it. Lot of people spend their days reading forums and release blogs to find some crack for it. There are also people who want to harm other people. These people spend their days pasting false links to these forums/blogs with harmful exe files. Most of people are not so stupid that they open exe from unknown source, but … what about dll ? are they safe ?

If you dont know how to run something with command line, just go to your desktop, find the red alert 3 shortcut, use second mouse button, select properties and you see there TARGET, it should be something like

“C:\Program Files\EA Games\Red Alert 3\RA3.exe”

append the -win parameter so it will look like

“C:\Program Files\EA Games\Red Alert 3\RA3.exe” -win

hit apply and ok.
Next time you use that icon, you will have game in windowed mode.

Do you know what Netbook is ? This word first appeared with asus EEE pc. Small, 7 inch cheap notebook with some small disk and cheap crappy cpu ( celeron ) but … better to browse with than PDA. Notebooks of this kind ( > 10 inch) are called netbooks because … they are unable to run anything besides net applications. Well, not literally, msi wind can run some games, with 200+mb of graphic memory you are able to play gta vice city but, this notebook was designed for web applications. just nice ‘big’ screen for websites, gmail, some office applications, im’s and there we go. Cheap, stable, extra portable .. ready to go.

I have bought myself a MSI Wind week ago. I love that machine. its totally awesome. I can carry it everywhere  i go. It weighs less than 1kg. Extra portable. I can use it in bed, i can use it in restaurant and i can use it as media player while driving :). I am thinking of it as big cell phone, not small notebook.

This netbook is great. I can do whatever i want wherever i want. I can chat, read email, watch forex or just some movie when i am on the go. But there is one thing i am unable to do on it. It’s work.

At the moment i have on my table 3 lcd’s (17′+19′+22′) and i just .. can use one laptop instead of them.  I have been thinking that i might buy myself notebook with 17+ screen and use it everywhere. But after few hours .. jesus that notebooks are so unportable. Maybe it weights only 3 kilo’s but after hour of carrying it .. it will kill your back. I can carry my wind notebook in one hand every day and no problem.

When i want to work, i need computer. I cant do anything on this machine. So, whats the point of buying a notebook ? If i want to use it i will need 2 lcd’s, mouse, good keyboard. And with this, its really not portable. I think its better to have 2-3 computers ( home - work - weekend house ) than carrying a notebook. Or notebook and 3 dock stations. Because, notebook, without lcd’s,  is not for work.

Few days ago i have been speaking with some guy - programmer. We has been chatting about programming languages, our jobs and so. It was a wonderful dialog. One his sentence has taken my breath away from me. It was something like ‘yeah, i have bought several programming books too and i am not using them just as paperweight‘. Ok - This is pretty much hardcore but still, nothing bad. I was terrified when he told me that when he is programming he is seeking information in that books. What are we in middle age ? Books are ok, but not as source of fast-needed information. When i have some problem, i just ask google. Now take 2 scenarios.

Well, maybe you have noticed that the end of world has just started ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Large_Hadron_Collider ).

Google has shown us this with change of it’s logo - now it is LHCGoogle - small change, and i think that nobody will notice, Google is changing their logo 5times/month.

But look at 4chan. Page with billion pageviews and milions of visitors is down. I just love when someone take some actual info and then make fun of it.
